Jamari Anderson
"I lived the first few years of my life in a small town of Andrews, South Carolina, with my mother and grandparents, I’d always been good at academic activities, but there at my grandparents’ house was where I truly developed my love for learning, and especially my love for reading. I consumed numerous books well beyond my grade level and developed a studious mind thanks to my mother and grandparents pushing me to always do my best and challenge myself. Over the next few years, after a number of different relocations, one even taking me and my family to Louisiana, we finally settled down in Columbia where I spent the latter portions of my middle school career and high-school career. I participated in a number of activities from helping disabled kids manage their days, plays, Red Cross, debate teams, and so forth until I was accepted in USC where I am now. Truly I have had a blessed life, and I am truly grateful for all everyone has done, and I look forward to what will come in the future."

"Hi! I am Gabi Daniels! I am an Anthropology and Art History student at Furman University. I am beginning my sophomore year as a Riley Institute Scholar, a member of Phi Eta Sigma, and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. As for my other interests, I have ridden horses competitively from an early age and have always had a passion for creating and learning about art. My future goal is to receive my PhD with the intention of becoming an archaeologist."
